TTC through the holidays


SHOW NOTES: Episode 9


TTC can be hard, especially during the holidays. The questions from family members to the thoughts of wanting a little one to share the day with - it can be a hard time. Today I am sharing my top 5 tips with you for navigating the holidays while TTC:


1. Get together with your spouse and plan ahead.


As the holidays approach, decide together as a couple which events you want to go to or which events just aren’t worth it for both of you.


Think about the comments that may come up as these events approach and how you are going to navigate them. I share some helpful things to say to these comments in the episode so be sure to check that out.


You can also try to decrease the interaction with certain people that you know are going to bring these topics up or enlist someone to help you out if you know that one specific person is going to make these comments. I don’t want you to feel like you completely lose the ability to experience the whole day or the whole experience because of that one interaction.



2. Prioritize your well being


Really know where you are on your journey and what feels comfortable for you as far as the holidays right now.


3. Always come back to processing these emotions.


This is my mission as a coach is to help women build their emotional resilience. Use these emotions to help guide you. You deserve a few minutes a day to check in on how you’re feeling. 4. Depend on your support people during this time.


Depend on your spouse, medical providers, family members or friends, your coach and create a plan together on how to approach the holiday season. Don’t do this alone.


5. Plan for some post event recovery


Take time to rest and process after the holidays. This can be a mentally draining time while TTC. Be sure that you take time to relax.
